NITRIC ACID
Nitric acid is used in the production of ammonium nitrate for fertilizers, making plastics, and in the manufacture of dyes. It is also used for making explosives such as nitroglycerin and TNT. When it is combined with hydrochloric acid, an element called aqua regia is formed
SODIUM BICARBONATE
Sodium bicarbonate , also known as baking soda, is used to relieve heartburn, sour stomach, or acid indigestion by neutralizing excess stomach acid. When used for this purpose, it is said to belong to the group of medicines called antacids. It may be used to treat the symptoms of stomach or duodenal ulcers
SILICA GEL 60 – 12 MESH
Silica Gel is one of the stationary phases used in flash column chromatography. The Silica Gel mesh size is very important for the successful completion of the chromatography process. Usually, Silica Gel with higher mesh size is preferred for this form of chromatography as it will absorb the components faster and thus improve the speed of the chromatography process. The larger mesh size works well while purifying organic compounds as it can separate the components more effectively. Silica Gel 230–400 Mesh size helps the flash chromatography process become more flexible and increases reproducibility as well.

EMSURE ACS
The brand EMSURE® designates Merck Millipore’s premium grade of classical solvents for all regulated or highly demanding lab applications. They are specified according to the most important international norms, suitable for an extraordinarily wide range of analytical applications and frequently used in challenging quality control processes in production.
EMSURE® grade solvents for analysis offer you industry-leading quality with a truly unique specification scope: We have been able to improve the specific values e.g. for purity, water content and evaporation residue and include additional analysis results, particularly almost the full range of metal ions and further components to improve the impurity profile. You thus benefit from proven safety, maximum reliability and the broadest spectrum of potential applications.
EMSURE® solvents provide the high and defined purity demanded by international regulations for pharmaceutical quality control – they meet or exceed the requirements of the American Chemical Society (ACS) and of the reagent part of the European Pharmacopoeia (Reag. Ph Eur). Furthermore EMSURE® solvents also complies to the requirements of ISO (International Organization for Standardization), which is relevant for all industrial sectors. Together with an unparalleled range of packaging options, withdrawal systems and services, this makes EMSURE® solvents from Merck Millipore the safest and most convenient choice for your quality control processes.

FORMIC ACID
The principal use of formic acid is as a preservative and antibacterial agent in livestock feed. When sprayed on fresh hay or other silage, it arrests certain decay processes and causes the feed to retain its nutritive value longer, and so it is widely used to preserve winter feed for cattle.

ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL (IPA)
Isopropyl alcohol dissolves a wide range of non-polar compounds. It also evaporates quickly, leaves nearly zero oil traces, compared to ethanol, and is relatively non-toxic, compared to alternative solvents. Thus, it is used widely as a solvent and as a cleaning fluid, especially for dissolving oils

KATHON FP 1.5 BIOCIDE
KATHON FP 1.5 is effective against bacteria and fungi in a wide range of fuel preservation applications. Manufactured exclusively for the fuel market, KATHON FP 1.5 contains the widely used CMIT/MIT active in a solvent of dipropylene glycol (mixed isomers), rather than water. Low product dosages of 0.01% to 0.04% (100 to 400 ppm) product, as supplied, are required for antimicrobial efficacy. The maximum dosage of 400 ppm product delivers only 1.4 ppm sulfur, and the minimum dosage of 100 ppm product delivers 0.3 ppm sulfur.

METHANOL
Methanol is the simplest alcohol, consisting of a methyl group linked to a hydroxyl group. It is a light, volatile, colorless, flammable liquid with a distinctive odor similar to that of ethanol (drinking alcohol). Methanol is however far more toxic than ethanol. At room temperature, it is a polar liquid.
- Methanol is used as a useful fuel for stunt and racing cars as it is less inflammable and can be mixed with water.
- It is also used as a solvent.
- Methanol is also used to make other chemicals such as formaldehyde.
- Being a polar liquid at room temperature, it is used as antifreeze and a denaturant for ethanol.
